Mugdock Park Family Photoshoot

If you are looking for a Glasgow family photoshoot that feels relaxed, natural, and full of emotion, Mugdock Park is one of the most beautiful locations to consider. As a family photographer based in Glasgow, I love creating memories surrounded by nature, and Mugdock Park offers the perfect setting with its woodland paths, open fields, and historical castle ruins. Whether you live locally or are visiting Scotland on holiday, a family photoshoot here is a wonderful way to capture the bond between you and your loved ones.

Why Choose a Family Photoshoot in Glasgow?

Life moves so quickly, and it’s easy to forget to pause and document the simple moments that matter the most. A family photoshoot on location in Scotland gives you the opportunity to slow down, enjoy time together, and create timeless photographs that will be treasured for years to come. Children grow and change in the blink of an eye, and parents are often the ones behind the camera rather than in the photos. A professional session ensures that your family story is recorded beautifully and naturally.

Photographs are more than images – they are a way of remembering emotions, laughter, and the connection you share. When you look back at your family portraits in years to come, you’ll be able to relive those feelings again and again.

The Beauty of Mugdock Park for Family Photography

Mugdock Park is one of my favourite locations for a creative family photoshoot in Glasgow. The park has a mix of scenic landscapes that work perfectly for natural photography. From the enchanting woodland trails to the open meadows and castle ruins, every corner offers a unique backdrop. Children love to explore the space, which makes the photoshoot fun and relaxed rather than staged.

The park changes beautifully with the seasons. In spring, the trees are full of fresh green leaves; in summer, there’s plenty of golden light filtering through the woods; in autumn, the colourful foliage creates a magical atmosphere; and in winter, the frost and mist can add a dramatic touch. Whatever the time of year, Mugdock Park provides an inspiring setting that helps families feel at ease in front of the camera.

Vacation Family Photoshoot in Glasgow

More and more families are choosing to have a vacation family photoshoot in Glasgow while visiting Scotland from abroad. If you are travelling from the USA, India, or anywhere else in the world, a family photoshoot during your holiday is a wonderful way to remember your time here.

Instead of coming home with just scenic landscapes, you’ll return with beautiful images that include your family in the heart of Scotland’s natural beauty. These portraits not only capture your trip but also reflect the connection and joy you experienced while travelling together.

I often meet families who have travelled for a once-in-a-lifetime holiday, and a photoshoot becomes one of the highlights of their trip. Imagine walking through the forest trails of Mugdock Park or standing by the ruins with your children, laughing and holding hands. These moments are worth capturing professionally, so you can share them with friends and family back home and treasure them for generations.

Creative Family Photography Beyond Glasgow

While Mugdock Park is one of my top choices, I am always happy to travel further for a photoshoot. Scotland is filled with breathtaking locations that are ideal for creative family photoshoots. One of the most popular destinations is Glencoe – a dramatic landscape of mountains, valleys, and lochs. It is a dream location for families who want truly cinematic images that showcase Scotland’s natural beauty.

Other incredible spots include Loch Lomond, the Highlands, and the Isle of Skye. Each of these destinations has its own atmosphere, and your family portraits will feel unique and unforgettable. I love exploring new places with families and tailoring each session to suit their style and personality.

Why a Family Photoshoot Is So Important

A family photoshoot is not just about taking pretty pictures – it’s about telling your story. Every family has a unique connection, and professional photography captures that in an authentic way.

Here are a few reasons why investing in a family photoshoot matters:

  • Memories of a moment in time – Your children won’t stay little forever. Professional portraits freeze this chapter of your life.
  • Quality time together – A photoshoot becomes a fun experience where families laugh, play, and connect without distractions.
  • Legacy for future generations – Photographs are a way of passing down your story to your children and grandchildren.
  • Celebrating milestones – Whether it’s a birthday, anniversary, or holiday, a photoshoot marks the occasion beautifully.

Most importantly, family photography allows you to be present in your own story. Too often, parents take hundreds of photos of their children but rarely appear in them. Professional sessions ensure that everyone is included, creating complete memories.

Book Your Glasgow Family Photoshoot

If you are looking for a Glasgow family photoshoot, a vacation family photoshoot in Glasgow, or a creative family photoshoot on location in Scotland, I would love to work with you. Mugdock Park is one of my favourite places to photograph families, but I am also happy to travel to Glencoe, Loch Lomond, or further afield to create something truly special for you.

A family photoshoot is more than just pictures – it is an experience filled with laughter, connection, and love. Let’s create memories together that you will cherish for a lifetime.

Cake Smash Glasgow

A first birthday is such a emotional milestone – your little one is moving from babyhood into toddlerhood, and what better way to celebrate than with a cake smash photoshoot in Glasgow? These sessions are fun, messy, and full of joy, but they are also beautifully styled to capture timeless memories that you will treasure forever. My style is elegant, classic, and focused on capturing those fleeting moments of your baby’s life – from their first shy smiles to the big giggles that come when they dig into their cake.

If you’re considering booking a cake smash photoshoot in Glasgow, you may be wondering how to prepare. Here’s everything you need to know to make the session smooth, relaxed, and memorable.

When to Book Your Cake Smash Session

I usually recommend booking your 1st birthday cake smash photoshoot about two weeks before your child’s actual birthday. This way, you will have your gallery ready in time for the big day, perfect if you’d like to use the images for birthday invitations or display them at the party. However, if you prefer the session to be closer to your baby’s actual birthday, that’s absolutely fine too. The most important thing is that you and your baby enjoy the experience.

What to Expect During the Session

The photoshoot lasts around 1.5 hours and is divided into three fun stages:

  1. Clean Portraits – We begin with timeless, classic portraits of your baby. This is the perfect moment to capture their sweet smiles before the cake comes out. Siblings are also welcome to join in for a few photos during this part of the session.
  2. Cake Smash – Once the portraits are done, it’s time for the fun! Your little one will be introduced to a beautifully decorated cake, matched to their outfit and the theme we’ve planned. Some babies dive straight in with both hands, while others prefer to take gentle nibbles. Either way, we capture their personality in every shot.
  3. Tub Bath Time – After the mess comes the splash! Your baby will enjoy a little soak in my roll-top tub with bubbles and my favourite rubber duck. Babies absolutely love this part of the session, and it leaves everyone happy and clean by the end.

What to Bring

To make the most of your session, I recommend bringing:

  • Two outfits – one for clean portraits and one for the cake smash part.
  • A bath towel – to wrap your little one up after the tub bath.
  • Baby bubble bath liquid – to add to the water for extra bubbles.
  • Snacks and a drink – in case your child needs a little break or pick-me-up during the session.

These small items will help keep your baby comfortable and happy throughout the shoot.

Styling and Themes

I love creating personalised setups for each cake smash photoshoot. I ask parents to send me a photo of their baby’s outfit, and I’ll organise everything to coordinate – from the professional cake to the bunting and balloons. This ensures your photos look polished, cohesive, and timeless.

My cakes are made by the talented Kasia from Cake 4 You Glasgow. She creates delicious, stunning cakes that babies absolutely adore. If your child has any allergies or dietary needs, Kasia can also accommodate special requests.

Once the session is over, I’ll box up any leftover cake for you to take home – and trust me, you’ll be glad to enjoy it later!

Every Baby is Unique

One of the things I love most about cake smash photography in Glasgow is that every baby reacts differently. Some are thrilled to get messy, others are more reserved. My role is to capture your baby just as they are – their curiosity, their joy, and even their hesitation. These genuine expressions are what make the images so special and personal to your family.

A Relaxed and Memorable Experience

I work hard to make sure your cake smash photoshoot feels relaxed, enjoyable, and completely stress-free. The session is designed around your baby’s pace – there’s no rush. We take the time they need to warm up, to explore, and to enjoy the experience.

Whether you already have a theme in mind or would like to choose one from my portfolio, I’m here to bring your vision to life. New themes always excite me, so if you have a fresh idea, I’ll be delighted to create something unique for your child.

Teddy Bear Cake Smash Photoshoot in Glasgow

Your baby’s first birthday is a milestone worth celebrating in the most memorable way. A cake smash photoshoot in Glasgow is the perfect opportunity to capture your little one’s personality, joy, and curiosity as they dive into their very own birthday cake. At Ola Molik Photography, I specialise in creating elegant and classic first birthday photography in Glasgow, with themes that are thoughtfully designed and styled to reflect your baby’s uniqueness.

One of my most loved themes is the Teddy Bear Cake Smash – a timeless choice that combines warmth, cuteness, and elegance for photos you will treasure forever.

Why Choose a Cake Smash Photoshoot in Glasgow?

Turning one is a once-in-a-lifetime moment, and parents often wonder how best to capture it. A cake smash photoshoot in Glasgow offers much more than just adorable pictures – it’s about documenting the fleeting stage of your baby’s life when everything is new, exciting, and full of curiosity.

Unlike posed studio portraits, a cake smash allows your child to play, explore, and interact naturally, creating genuine expressions that tell their story. Whether it’s a giggle, a frosting-covered hand, or a curious stare at the cake, these are the memories you’ll look back on with a smile.

At Ola Molik Photography, my approach is all about blending fun with elegance. Every Glasgow cake smash I create is styled to perfection while keeping the focus on your baby.

The Teddy Bear Cake Smash Theme – Sweet, Classic, and Timeless

The Teddy Bear Cake Smash theme is one of the most charming options for a first birthday session. Teddy bears are timeless companions of childhood, making this theme instantly relatable and heart-warming.

Here’s what makes this theme special:

  • Warm colour palettes – soft browns, creams, and natural tones that create an elegant backdrop.
  • Cute teddy props – adorable teddy bear decorations that give the setup a cosy feel.
  • Coordinated details – from the bunting to the balloons to the cake, everything is designed to complement your child’s outfit.

I always ask parents to send me a photo of their baby’s chosen outfit ahead of time. This helps me coordinate the entire setup – including the cake, bunting, and balloons – so everything looks beautifully styled and cohesive. Attention to detail is something I truly care about, as it transforms your photos from lovely to unforgettable.

Your Cake Smash Experience in Glasgow

Each cake smash photoshoot in Glasgow that I offer follows a three-part structure to make sure you get a full gallery of stunning images:

  1. Clean Portraits – We start with classic birthday portraits of your baby before the cake makes an appearance. These images capture your child looking fresh and happy, dressed in their special birthday outfit.
  2. Cake Smash Fun – This is the highlight of the session! Your baby is introduced to their personalised birthday cake. Some little ones dive right in, while others carefully explore the frosting – either way, the results are always adorable.
  3. Tub Bath Time – To finish off, your baby enjoys a splash in a small bubble-filled tub. Not only does this create more sweet photos, but it also helps clean up your little one after all that cake fun.

What’s Included in the Cake Smash Package?

My Glasgow cake smash photography package is designed to be stress-free for parents. Everything you need for a perfect session is included:

  • 1.5-hour photo session
  • Personalised cake designed to match your theme
  • Balloons and bunting, fully coordinated
  • Clean portraits before the cake smash
  • Cake smash session
  • Tub bath photoshoot to wrap it all up

All you need to bring is your baby and their chosen outfit – I’ll take care of the rest.

When to Book Your Cake Smash Photoshoot in Glasgow

I usually recommend scheduling your baby’s first birthday photography in Glasgow about two weeks before their birthday. This way, you’ll have your photos ready to share and display for their birthday party or celebration.

However, if you’d prefer the session to fall right around your child’s actual birthday, that’s absolutely no problem. The choice is entirely yours, and I’ll make sure the session fits your timeline.

Creative Themes – Bring Your Own Ideas!

While the Teddy Bear Cake Smash is one of my favourites, I’m always open to new ideas. I love when parents suggest creative themes – something meaningful to their family or unique to their child’s personality.

Whether you’d like to try something from my portfolio or bring your own concept to life, I’m excited to create a setup that feels just right for your little one. From princess themes to woodland adventures, each session is fully personalised.

Why Choose Ola Molik Photography for Your Glasgow Cake Smash?

With over 14 years of experience working with children and newborns, I understand how important these early milestones are. My style is elegant, classic, and focused on capturing those fleeting moments that mean so much to parents.

I believe in creating not just photographs, but memories – images that will make you smile every time you look back at them. Every cake smash Glasgow session is relaxed, fun, and designed with care, so both you and your baby can enjoy the experience.

Newborn Family Photoshoot in Glasgow

Welcoming a newborn baby is one of life’s most magical experiences. Those first few weeks fly by so quickly. Before you know it, your tiny baby has already grown and changed. Many parents regret not capturing those fleeting moments professionally. This is why booking a newborn family photoshoot in Glasgow can be one of the best decisions you make during this special time.

As a professional Glasgow newborn photographer, I understand just how important it is to preserve those first cuddles, smiles, and family connections. Whether you’re holding your baby for the first time, watching siblings meet, or simply enjoying quiet moments as a family, professional photographs ensure these memories are cherished forever.

Why Choose Newborn Photography in Glasgow?

Glasgow is a wonderful city to raise a family, full of beautiful parks, cosy homes, and a community that values family life. When it comes to Glasgow newborn photography, parents often want more than just posed studio portraits. They want timeless images that reflect their love, connection, and joy.

A newborn photoshoot in Glasgow gives you the opportunity to capture your baby at their tiniest, often within the first 2–3 weeks of life. This is the perfect window when babies are still sleepy, curly, and content to be wrapped or posed gently. These early sessions allow me to create soft, natural images that highlight your baby’s delicate features.

What to Expect from a Newborn Family Photoshoot

Many parents worry that booking a professional session might be stressful, especially with a newborn. But the truth is, a Glasgow family photographer who specialises in newborns knows exactly how to make the experience calm and enjoyable for everyone.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • A relaxed atmosphere – Whether you choose a home session or visit my Glasgow studio, the focus is on keeping your baby comfortable and your family at ease.
  • Safety first – As an experienced newborn photographer, your baby’s wellbeing is always my top priority. Every pose and prop is safe, gentle, and baby-led.
  • Family involvement – A newborn photoshoot isn’t just about the baby. Parents, siblings, and even grandparents can join in, creating beautiful family portraits you’ll treasure for a lifetime.
  • Lasting memories – From tiny details like little hands and feet to full family portraits, you’ll receive a gallery of images that truly tell the story of your baby’s first days.

Why Work with a Specialist Glasgow Newborn Photographer?

Not all photographers are the same, and when it comes to newborns, experience makes all the difference. A Glasgow newborn photographer understands how to soothe babies, how to capture them in flattering natural light, and how to create an environment where parents can relax too.

With over 14 years of experience photographing newborns and families, I bring both professional skills and a gentle approach. Parents often tell me they were nervous before the session. By the end, they felt calm, supported, and excited to see the results.

When to Book Your Newborn Photoshoot in Glasgow

The best time to book your newborn photoshoot in Glasgow is while you’re still pregnant. Many parents reserve their session around the second trimester. I highly advice to do it asap as newborn photographers often get booked up quickly. Once your baby arrives, we confirm a date within the first two weeks.

That said, if your baby is a little older, don’t worry – beautiful images can still be captured at any age. A professional Glasgow family photographer will adapt the session to suit your baby’s stage and personality.

The Value of Newborn Family Photography

While phone snapshots are lovely, nothing compares to professional newborn and family portraits. These images are created with expert lighting, thoughtful composition, and professional editing. This gives you artwork that can be displayed in your home and passed down for generations.

Many parents say that their newborn gallery becomes one of their most treasured possessions. It’s not just about capturing how tiny your baby was – it’s about freezing that love and connection in time, so you can relive those emotions every time you look at your photos.

Book Your Glasgow Newborn Photoshoot Today

If you’re expecting a baby or have recently welcomed your little one, now is the perfect time to plan your session. As an experienced Glasgow newborn photographer, I would love to help you capture these irreplaceable moments with your family. Ask me a question or visit my F.A.Q page here…..

Spaces are limited each month to ensure every client receives the time and attention they deserve. To avoid disappointment, I recommend getting in touch as early as possible.

Final Thoughts

Your baby will never be this tiny again, and investing in professional Glasgow newborn photography is a gift that will last a lifetime. A newborn family photoshoot in Glasgow is more than just a set of pictures – it’s a way of preserving love, joy, and family bonds in their purest form.

Yesterday, I had a truly lovely experience while out with my niece. She is staying with us for a few weeks, and since I absolutely adore the architecture of the University of Glasgow, I decided to take her there for a little portrait session. The grand Gothic buildings, the stunning cloisters, and the sense of history at the University always make it one of my favourite spots in the city for photography.

As I was photographing my niece, I noticed a young woman wearing her graduation gown and cap. She was celebrating her special day with a friend who was helping her take photos. Watching her reminded me of how important these moments are—graduation is a huge milestone, something that marks years of hard work, dedication, and achievement. I couldn’t help myself and offered her a few professional portraits, completely free of charge, as a kind gesture.

For me, photography is not just about taking pictures—it’s about capturing emotions, preserving memories, and giving people something they will cherish forever. I also strongly believe that good deeds always come back to us, and this little spontaneous photoshoot was one of those magical moments where kindness met creativity.

Why Graduation Photography in Glasgow is so Special

The University of Glasgow is one of the most iconic places in the city, and without a doubt one of the most beautiful backdrops for graduation portraits. The stunning stone buildings, the historic cloisters, and the sweeping views across the city make it the perfect place to celebrate such an important life event.

Every year, thousands of students graduate here, surrounded by proud family and friends. Many of them want to capture the occasion with professional photography, and it’s easy to see why. These photographs are not just for today—they are memories that you will look back on decades from now, sharing with your loved ones and even future generations.

A graduation photoshoot is a chance to celebrate who you are, what you’ve achieved, and to honour all the hard work that led to this moment. Whether you want traditional, formal graduation portraits or more relaxed, candid shots full of laughter and personality, Glasgow University offers the perfect setting.

What to Expect from a Graduation Photoshoot

When booking me for your graduation photography in Glasgow, you can expect a relaxed and enjoyable session. My aim is always to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera, even if posing doesn’t come naturally to you. I’ll guide you through the process while making sure the experience is fun, memorable, and stress-free.

Typical graduation photoshoots include a mixture of:

  • Formal portraits in your graduation gown and cap, perfect for family albums and professional keepsakes.
  • Candid moments with friends and family, capturing the joy and excitement of the day.
  • Creative shots around the University of Glasgow, making the most of its beautiful surroundings.

Sessions can be tailored to your needs, whether you’d like something simple and elegant or something more personalised and fun.

Offering Graduation Photography at the University of Glasgow

The little encounter yesterday reminded me just how much I love photographing graduates. Every single person has their own story, their own journey, and their own unique pride in that cap and gown moment. That’s why I’m excited to share that I offer professional graduation photoshoots at the University of Glasgow and across the city.

So, if you or someone you know is graduating soon, I’d love to help you celebrate with timeless images. Let me capture your joy, your achievements, and the pride of your family on this very special day.

Because in the end, graduation is not just about receiving a certificate—it’s about the memories, the emotions, and the milestones that got you here. And those are worth remembering forever.

If you’re looking for graduation portraits or a graduation photoshoot in Glasgow, especially at the University of Glasgow, please get in touch HERE.

Irvine Beach Family Photoshoot – Capturing Timeless Memories by the Sea

One of the things I love most about my work as a family photographer in Scotland is that every photoshoot is unique. Each family brings their own story. Their energy, personality, and the location become part of that story. While I often photograph in Glasgow and the surrounding areas, I also adore travelling to new and beautiful spots across the West and East coast of Scotland. When this lovely family booked me for a session, they wanted something special, close to where they live. After a little discussion, we decided on a location that never fails to inspire. That place was Irvine Beach.

Why Choose Irvine Beach for a Family Photoshoot

Nestled along the Ayrshire coast. Irvine Beach is a hidden gem for photographers and families alike. With its long stretch of golden sand, picturesque dunes, and wide-open skies, it offers the perfect backdrop for natural and relaxed portraits. Whether you’re walking along the shoreline, playing with the kids in the sand, or simply sitting together watching the waves, every moment is infused with a sense of freedom and joy.

As someone who regularly travels for beach family photoshoots in Scotland, I can honestly say Irvine Beach is one of my favorite coastal locations. It’s spacious, quiet during the morning hours, and offers many possibilities for capturing a mix of candid and posed shots.

A Perfect Sunny Morning by the Sea

When I arrived that day, the sun was already shining brightly, casting a warm golden light over the water. As we know, the weather in Scotland can be unpredictable. On this occasion, we were blessed with a morning photographers dream about – blue skies, gentle sea breezes, and just the right amount of warmth.

The family arrived ready to enjoy the experience. One of the joys of a beach family photoshoot in Scotland is that it never feels too formal. Children can run, explore, and just be themselves. I always encourage families to relax and interact naturally. That’s when the most authentic smiles and moments appear.

We started with a gentle stroll along the beach, letting the children splash in the shallows and play in the sand. I captured laughter, sandy toes, and those sweet little in-between moments. These included holding hands, cuddles against the sea breeze, and playful twirls.

Making Memories That Last a Lifetime

For me, photography is about more than just creating beautiful pictures. It’s about preserving emotions. A day at the beach is something this family will remember for years to come. Now they have photographs that capture exactly how it felt. The warmth of the sun, the sound of the waves, the joy in their children’s eyes – all those details become timeless when recorded through the lens.

Irvine Beach’s natural beauty made it easy to create a variety of shots. We had wide scenic photographs showing the vast open landscape, as well as intimate close-ups full of connection and love. From the soft ripples in the sand to the sunlight dancing on the water, every frame told part of their story.

Tips for Your Own Beach Family Photoshoot in Scotland

If you’re considering booking a beach family photoshoot in Scotland, here are a few tips to make the most of it:

  1. Timing is everything – Early mornings or late afternoons often provide the best light and fewer crowds.
  2. Dress comfortably – Neutral or pastel colors work beautifully against the sand and sea, but don’t be afraid to add a pop of color.
  3. Bring a blanket – Perfect for sitting together and adding a cosy, relaxed touch to your images.
  4. Let children be children – The best moments often come when little ones are playing and exploring.
  5. Embrace the weather – Whether it’s sunny, breezy, or slightly overcast, every condition can create a unique atmosphere.

Why I Love Travelling for Photoshoots

As some of you know I’m based in Glasgow. Travelling to places like Irvine Beach is one of the highlights of my work. Scotland offers such a variety of breathtaking landscapes, from mountains to lochs to sandy shores. Every location brings something different. I love tailoring each photoshoot to suit the family and the setting.

If you live near the coast or simply want a special day trip, a beach family photoshoot in Scotland can be a wonderful way to capture your family’s personality in a fresh and natural way.

Book Your Irvine Beach Family Photoshoot

If these photos and words have inspired you to create your own seaside memories, I’d love to help. Whether it’s Irvine Beach, another Ayrshire spot, or a completely different part of Scotland, for example, Dunbar, I’ll work with you to plan a session that feels relaxed, fun, and full of genuine moments.

Your family’s story is unique. Let’s capture it somewhere beautiful. Contact me today to book your Irvine Beach family photoshoot or to chat about other family photoshoot Scotland options. I can’t wait to travel to your chosen location and create timeless photographs you’ll treasure forever.

Spontaneous Street Photoshoot in Glasgow – A Unique Portrait Experience in the Heart of the City

Did you know you can book a street photoshoot in Glasgow even on the same day?

A few weeks ago, I had one of those rare, spontaneous sessions that remind me why I love what I do. A young traveller from England was on his way back from an adventure around Scotland. He had just five hours left until his night bus to Bristol and was sitting at a KFC in Glasgow, scrolling through his phone and thinking of how to spend the last few hours in the city.

Then he had an idea: What if I booked a quick portrait session in the streets of Glasgow?

He called me around 5 PM with the most unexpected request – “Hi, I’m in Glasgow city centre just for a few hours, any chance you’re free for a quick photoshoot?”

As it happened, I had no sessions booked that evening. The timing was perfect, and I love a good urban shoot, so I said yes!

George Square Photoshoot – Where It All Started

Two hours later, we met in George Square, the beating heart of Glasgow’s city centre. The sky was cloudy – in true Scottish fashion – but the light was soft, making it perfect for street portraits. He had some great ideas, inspired by his travels, and was completely open to exploring whatever locations or angles I suggested.

We wandered through the streets of Merchant City, along Ingram Street and down hidden alleyways with graffiti walls, cool doorways, and moody textures. The architecture, the colours, the vibes – everything came together perfectly.

We created some truly authentic urban portraits. No pressure, no plan – just two people creating something beautiful out of a moment.

Why Book a Street Photoshoot in Glasgow?

Urban portraits are raw, dynamic, and deeply personal. They capture more than just how you look – they reflect your personality, your energy, and the story you’re living at that moment.

Whether you’re a traveller passing through, a creative looking to refresh your personal brand, or simply someone wanting something a little different – a street photography session in Glasgow is a fantastic experience.

And yes – I absolutely offer these kinds of sessions!

You don’t need to be a model. You don’t need fancy clothes. All you need is a little time, an open mind, and Glasgow as your backdrop.

What’s Included in My Urban Portrait Sessions?

  • Flexible location – George Square, Merchant City, West End, or wherever you’d like
  • Natural posing guidance throughout the session
  • 30-minute to 1-hour sessions available
  • Perfect for solo travellers, creatives, or couples
  • Quick turnaround and high-quality edited images

Booking Last-Minute or Spontaneously?

Just like my traveller friend, you can message or call me last minute. If I’m free – I’m in! While I recommend booking in advance, I understand that travel plans change and sometimes the best memories are made unplanned.

Glasgow is a city full of character, colour, and stories. Why not capture yours with a street photoshoot before you move on to your next adventure?

Get in touch to book your own Glasgow street photoshoot – whether you’re a local or just passing through.

What to Wear for an Autumn Photoshoot

Choosing the right outfit makes a big difference in how your photos look. Here are some tips for your autumn family photography session:

  • Stick to earth tones, warm neutrals, and soft colours like mustard, cream, brown, rust, and olive.
  • Avoid neon or overly bright colours that clash with nature’s palette.
  • Mix textures (knitwear, denim, cotton) for added depth.
  • Coordinating is better than matching — each person should have their own style, but the outfits should complement one another.
  • Bring a blanket or shawl — perfect for snuggly shots and keeping warm.

A little story about My nephew World’s VICE CHESS CHAMPION Antek https://olamolikphotography.com/young-chess-champion-antek-radzimski/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=young-chess-champion-antek-radzimski Sun, 08 Jun 2025 09:43:28 +0000 https://olamolikphotography.com/?p=7234 The post A little story about My nephew World’s VICE CHESS CHAMPION Antek appeared first on Ola Molik - Professional Photographer in Glasgow.

Support Young Chess Champion Antek: Help Antek Continue His Journey to Greatness

In a world where talent often meets limitations not of skill but of resources, one young chess champion stands as a shining example of what dedication, passion, and brilliance can achieve. Meet Antek Radzimski – a young Polish chess prodigy, a World Champion, and the proud winner of 8 international medals… all before even reaching adulthood.

But today, Antek is facing one of the biggest challenges in his career so far – not across a chessboard, but in real life: financial obstacles that are preventing him from competing at the European Chess Championships.

A Champion with a Track Record of Success

Antek is not your average teenager. His life revolves around the 64 squares of a chessboard. Over the years, he has become a rising star in the world of chess, earning accolades and respect from chess enthusiasts and professionals alike. His international medal collection already includes:

🏅 3 Gold Medals
🥈 3 Silver Medals
🥉 2 Bronze Medals

And let’s not forget his World Champion title in Rapid and Blitz Chess – a feat that proves his incredible speed, strategy, and intuition in the game. Chess isn’t just a hobby for Antek; it’s a deep passion, a life pursuit, and quite possibly his future career.

The Harsh Reality Behind the Scenes

While Antek continues to conquer the chessboard, his family is battling a different kind of opponent: financial pressure. Just this past April, they spent over 12,000 PLN (about £2,400) to send him to the World Championships. That kind of expense – flights, accommodation, registration fees, coaching, and equipment – adds up quickly. And unfortunately, it’s not sustainable.

This month, the registration deadline for the European Championships in Rapid and Blitz Chess has passed – and Antek will not be competing.

Not because he isn’t ready.
Not because he lacks the skill.
But because the funding simply isn’t there.

To make matters more frustrating, local government support – which had helped in the past – has now dropped to zero following recent political changes. Despite his international achievements and his role as a national ambassador for youth chess, Antek is left without the backing he so clearly deserves.

How You Can Help: Support Antek on Patronite

At this crucial moment, we’re reaching out to you – chess lovers, sports supporters, and those who believe in giving young people a chance.

👉 Antek has a Patronite account – a platform where supporters can subscribe monthly, even with small amounts, to help him cover travel, competition fees, training, and coaching.

💳 Setting up a monthly donation on Patronite is simple and secure. You can use your bank card and choose a level of support that suits you – whether it’s the price of a coffee, a lunch, or more.

Here’s why your monthly support matters:

  • It brings stability – Antek and his family can plan ahead, knowing that part of the financial burden is shared.
  • It keeps him in the game – quite literally. Your help ensures he doesn’t have to miss future tournaments.
  • It nurtures a future Grandmaster – your support is an investment in someone who could represent your country in global arenas.
  • It inspires others – showing that grassroots support can truly make a difference.

🌐 You can visit Antek’s Patronite page here: [Insert Patronite Link]

Even 10 zł / £2 per month makes a real difference when many people join in…. you can do it here: PATRONITE

Looking for a Sponsor: Can You Help Us Reach One?

In addition to monthly Patronite support, we are also looking for a title sponsor – a business, brand, or organisation that would like to align themselves with a talented, disciplined, and well-respected young sportsman. Antek has already been featured in national media and local events, and his journey is followed by a growing fanbase.

Sponsorship would include logo visibility, brand exposure at international events, and the chance to be part of one of Poland’s most exciting young sports stories.

If you have contacts, ideas, or are part of a company that could help – please reach out. Your support could help launch Antek to the next level.

Final Words: Don’t Let Talent Be Wasted

Antek is a world-class player with a world of potential ahead of him. But without consistent support, doors to key tournaments and opportunities will keep closing. We can’t let that happen. Not after all his hard work, dedication, and the pride he brings to Poland and to the chess community.

Let’s join forces to help Antek continue his journey. Support him on Patronite, spread the word, and be a part of something truly meaningful.

🏆 Because champions deserve a fair chance.
♟ And the next move… is yours.

INTERESTING FACT : Antek had the honor of starting his game with the great maestro Andrea Bocelli in Italy. After seven rounds, he is in the lead of the World Cadet Championship.✊

How to Prepare for Your Family Photography Session at Ola Molik Photography – Glasgow Family Photographer

Are you planning a family photography session and wondering how to get the most out of your time in front of the camera? As a Glasgow family photographer at Ola Molik Photography, I understand how important it is to capture genuine, joyful moments of your family in a relaxed, natural way. Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, marking a milestone, or simply preserving the beauty of everyday love, I’m here to help you feel prepared and confident before your session.

As a photographer with years of experience in creating family portraits in Glasgow, I’ve created this simple guide to help you prepare for your upcoming studio session. Let’s make the most of our time together and create images you’ll treasure forever.

What to Expect During Your Family Photography Session

Your family session at my Glasgow home studio will last up to 2 hours, giving us plenty of time to capture a variety of beautiful portraits. This relaxed pace allows little ones to settle in, and gives us the flexibility to include outfit changes, different props, and natural breaks when needed.

You’re welcome to bring up to three changes of clothes for your family, although I usually recommend only two outfit changes for babies and younger children. From my experience as a Glasgow family photographer, little ones can get tired or lose interest quickly, so keeping things simple can help us get the best smiles and natural expressions.

What to Wear – Tips for Picture -Perfect Outfits

Choosing the right clothes can make a big difference in your final images. Once we’ve discussed and agreed on a color scheme for your session, here are a few wardrobe tips to follow:

* Avoid big logos and loud patterns. These can distract from the connection and emotion in your portraits.
* Keep it simple and coordinated. Soft, neutral tones always work beautifully, but don’t be afraid to add a pop of color—I love color!
* Comfort is key. Choose clothes that your children can move around in easily and that you feel good wearing.
* Think timeless. These images will hang on your walls for years, so it’s best to avoid trendy pieces that may not age well.

If you’re not sure what to wear, I’m always happy to help you plan outfits in advance. Send over photos or ideas, and we’ll work together to create a cohesive, flattering look for the whole family, with some tips from your Glasgow family photographer.

Props, Personal Touches, and Special Celebrations

Being a creative professional, I love using props to add personality and variety to your session in Glasgow. My studio is filled with a wide selection of beautiful, hand-picked props—from rustic crates to delicate floral touches and playful children’s accessories.

If your session is celebrating a birthday, feel free to bring along a number balloon or even a small cake to add a personal, festive feel. These little details make the session more meaningful and fun, especially for younger children. Plus, they help tell the story of your family’s current chapter.

Creating Memories That Matter

Family photos are so much more than just pictures—they are a record of your story, your love, and your growth. As one of the trusted Glasgow family photographers, I feel honored to be part of that journey with you. My sessions are always relaxed, child-friendly, and focused on creating an enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

When you arrive at my studio in Glasgow, we’ll start with some natural family portraits, then move on to playful, candid moments using props or outfit changes. We’ll adapt the session to your children’s energy levels and personalities, making sure the atmosphere stays light and fun throughout.

Final Thoughts and Booking Information

Whether this is your first professional family session or your tenth, I’m here to guide you through every step. I’ll help you plan your outfits, choose the best props, and ensure the session is stress-free and memorable for the whole family.

If you’re searching for a family photographer in Glasgow who combines experience with creativity and a deep love for storytelling, I would be delighted to welcome you into my studio. Let’s create something beautiful together—something that will still make you smile ten, twenty, or fifty years from now.

To book your session or to learn more about my family photography services in Glasgow, get in touch through my website contact page or send me a message on social media. I can’t wait to meet your family and start planning your session!
