Horse Photography Glasgow – Why Every Horse Rider Deserves Beautiful Memories With Their Horse
There are some photoshoots that stay with you long after you have packed away your camera. Last week’s horse photoshoot with the beautiful Dru and his owner Annabel was exactly one of those sessions.
As a Horse Photographer in Scotland, I have photographed many families, children, dogs and horses over the years. However, there is something truly magical about the bond between a horse and its owner. It is difficult to describe unless you have experienced it yourself. The trust, friendship and connection between them are unlike anything else. That is why I love Horse Photography so much.
I love travel through Scotland
Last Sunday morning, I travelled to Cardross for a Horse Photoshoot Scotland session with Annabel and her stunning horse, Dru. From the moment I arrived, I knew it was going to be a special morning. The weather was absolutely perfect. The sun was shining, the sky was blue and everything around us was bursting with summer colours.
Annabel looked amazing. She had carefully chosen a beautiful outfit consisting of denim jeans, a shirt, leather boots, a waistcoat and a hat. Her outfit suited both her personality and the countryside surroundings perfectly. Alongside her own clothes, I had also brought some dresses from my client wardrobe. We planned to use those later in the session to create a completely different look. We started our photoshoot beside the stables where Dru lives. Right next to the yard was a gorgeous field covered in bright yellow buttercups.
I LOVE COLOURS!
The colours were incredible and created the perfect backdrop for our first portraits. Dru was relaxed and curious and the morning light wrapped around him beautifully. As a Photographer Glasgow, these are the moments I absolutely love capturing. I especially cherish natural interactions, genuine smiles and the quiet connection between horse and rider.
After spending some time in the buttercup field, we took a gentle walk to another nearby location. What we found there was simply breathtaking. We were surrounded by vibrant pink rhododendrons in full bloom. These created a stunning contrast against Dru’s coat and the lush greenery around us. From there, we continued along a beautiful woodland path. Sunlight filtered through the trees and created the most magical atmosphere.
I honestly cannot describe how much I enjoyed this experience. There was no rush, no pressure and no need for perfectly posed photographs. We simply spent time together, allowing the session to unfold naturally. Those are always the moments that create the most meaningful images.
I’m here for YOU!
Many horse owners tell me they have thousands of photographs of their horses on their phones. However, they have very few photographs of themselves together with their horse. That is one of the main reasons I believe every rider should consider booking a professional Horse Photoshoot Scotland session. Our horses become such a huge part of our lives. They are there for the early mornings, the cold winter rides, the competitions, the adventures and the quiet moments when nobody else understands us quite like they do.
As an Equine Photographer West Scotland, I travel throughout Glasgow, Helensburgh, Ayr and many other beautiful locations across Scotland. Every horse is different and every story is unique. Some riders want elegant portraits, while others prefer action photographs. Meanwhile, many simply want to capture the special friendship they share with their horse.
My aim is to create beautiful memories for you!
What matters most to me is creating photographs that feel authentic and personal. I want you to look back at your gallery in ten or twenty years. Then you will remember exactly how it felt to spend time with your horse during this chapter of your life.
Whether we are exploring the sandy beaches near Ayr, wandering through the countryside around Helensburgh, or discovering hidden woodland trails near Glasgow, every location offers a different backdrop and atmosphere. Furthermore, the spectacular scenery throughout West Scotland provides endless opportunities for creating stunning equine portraits. Because of this, there is always a perfect setting to capture the unique connection between you and your horse.
This summer, I would love to photograph more horse and rider partnerships across Scotland. To celebrate my growing passion for Equine Photography, I am planning a special offer exclusively for horse riders.
SPECIAL DEAL OFFER THIS SUMMER!
For a limited time, I will be offering up to a 2-hour Horse Photoshoot Scotland session with unlimited edited images for just £90.
If you have been thinking about booking a Horse Photographer but have been waiting for the right time, this is your sign. Our horses are never with us long enough, and the memories we create together deserve to be preserved beautifully.
I cannot wait to meet more wonderful horses and their owners throughout Glasgow, Helensburgh, Ayr and beyond. I look forward to helping tell their unique stories through photography.
