Christmas has a funny way of arriving much faster than we expect.
One minute the children are going back to school, and suddenly the Christmas decorations are appearing, presents need to be organised and everyone is wondering where another year has gone.
For me, that is exactly why Christmas photography is so special.
Children change incredibly quickly. The little face you photograph this Christmas will already look different next year. Babies become toddlers, toddlers start school and suddenly the children who once happily sat on Santa’s knee are teenagers who are almost as tall as their parents.
Photographs give us a way of holding onto a little piece of that time.
I’m Ola from Ola Molik Photography, a family and children’s photographer based in the Glasgow area, and my Christmas Mini Sessions are returning for 2026 with three different Christmas themes created for families, children, babies and even four-legged members of the family.
This guide explains everything you need to know about my 2026 Christmas Mini Sessions in Glasgow, including this year’s themes, dates, prices, what to wear, how the sessions work and how to choose the right Christmas photography package for your family. If you are searching for a Christmas photographer in Glasgow, hopefully this will answer most of your questions before you book.
Christmas Family Photography in Glasgow – What Makes These Sessions Different?
My Christmas Minis aren’t simply about sitting everyone in front of a Christmas backdrop and asking them to smile at the camera.
I want the photographs to feel warm, magical and full of personality.
I love beautiful portraits where everyone is looking towards the camera, of course, but I also love the moments between those photographs: children laughing together, cuddling Mum and Dad, looking at the Christmas decorations, playing with the props or simply forgetting for a moment that there is a camera in front of them.
Those are often the photographs parents love the most.
My photography is colourful, detailed and full of warmth, and I love creating photographs that immediately give you that feeling of Christmas.
For 2026 I have created three different Christmas photography experiences, rather than trying to make one set work for everyone. One has been designed particularly with families in mind. Another is perfect for babies, smaller children and pets. The third is a fun Christmas Kitchen experience suitable for different ages. This means you can choose the date and Christmas theme that suits your family best.
Each date has only eight appointments available, so the sessions remain relaxed and I have enough time between families rather than turning Christmas Minis into a photography conveyor belt!

Theme 1 – Christmas Kitchen Mini Sessions
Sunday 18 October 2026, from 11am
The Christmas Kitchen is all about fun.
This is the theme for families who want something playful and festive rather than a traditional formal Christmas portrait. Imagine Christmas baking, festive details and children being allowed to have a little fun. The Christmas Kitchen works particularly well with children because it gives them something to interact with. Instead of constantly asking a child to sit still and smile, we can create little activities and expressions naturally.
This can be especially helpful for children who need a few minutes to become comfortable around someone new. The result is a mixture of traditional portraits and fun Christmas photographs full of character. If your children love Christmas baking, gingerbread and all the excitement surrounding Christmas preparations, this could be the perfect Christmas mini session for you.

Theme 2 – Family Christmas Mini Sessions
Sunday 25 October 2026 and Sunday 22 November 2026, from 11am
This is the main Family Christmas Photoshoot for 2026 and the set you can see in the photographs on this page. I absolutely love this one. The scene has a beautiful winter feel with snow-covered Christmas trees, warm glowing lanterns, greenery and a soft snowy landscape.
There is plenty happening in the background, but the colours remain natural enough that your family remains the most important part of the photograph. The combination of greens, creams, warm browns, soft whites and golden lights gives the photographs a classic Christmas feeling without making them overwhelmingly red or overly themed.
Most importantly, this set has been selected with families in mind. It works beautifully for children, but there is enough space and depth for parents to join the photographs too. So please don’t automatically decide that Christmas photographs are only for the children. Get in them.
Years from now, your children aren’t going to look through their photographs and wonder whether Mum was the perfect weight or whether Dad loved having his photograph taken. They’re going to be happy that you were there with them. Christmas is about family, and I would love your Christmas gallery to include photographs of all of you together.
We can also photograph the children together, individual portraits and different family combinations where time allows. The aim is to create a varied little Christmas gallery rather than fifteen versions of exactly the same photograph.

Theme 3 – Bambino Christmas Sessions
Saturday 7 November 2026, from 2pm
My Bambino Christmas theme has been created especially for the smallest members of the family.
This session is particularly suitable for babies, toddlers, younger children and pets. Smaller children don’t need complicated posing. Sometimes the simplest photographs are the most beautiful.
We’ll work around your little one’s personality and allow them to explore the Christmas environment while I capture a mixture of natural expressions and more traditional portraits.
And yes, pets are family too. I photograph pets throughout the year, so I know how important they are to many families. Selected Christmas sessions can include your dog or another suitable family pet; simply let me know before booking so that I can make sure the particular theme and appointment are appropriate.

How Long Is a Christmas Mini Session?
Each Christmas Mini lasts approximately 25 minutes.
I’ve deliberately chosen 25 minutes because I think it gives us a good balance.
It is short enough that younger children don’t become bored or overwhelmed, but long enough for me to work with them rather than expecting perfect smiles within the first two minutes. Some children walk into the studio and immediately start performing for the camera. Others need five or ten minutes to decide whether I can be trusted! Both are completely normal. I have photographed children and families for many years, and I don’t expect every child to behave in exactly the same way.If your little one is shy, please don’t worry. There is no pressure to perform. We’ll keep things relaxed and make the session fun. Christmas Mini Session Prices in Glasgow for 2026
Which Christmas Photography Package Should I Choose?
THE PACKAGES
I’ve created three packages, starting from £99.
The idea is to give families a genuinely affordable entry option while also allowing parents who fall in love with their gallery to keep more—or all—of their photographs.
CHRISTMAS MINI – £99
Your session includes a 25-minute Christmas photoshoot, the Christmas theme available on your booked date and 3 professionally edited high-resolution digital photographs. You’ll receive a private online gallery from which you can choose your favourite three images.
If you discover that choosing only three is impossible, you can purchase additional photographs or upgrade your package.
CHRISTMAS FAVOURITES – £159
This package includes your 25-minute Christmas photoshoot, the Christmas theme available on your booked date and 7 professionally edited high-resolution digital photographs. You’ll receive a private online gallery to make your selection.
You can also upgrade to the Complete Christmas Experience if you decide you’d rather keep the full gallery.
COMPLETE CHRISTMAS EXPERIENCE – £199
This is my best-value Christmas package and is perfect for families who don’t want the headache of choosing between their favourite photographs.
You’ll receive your 25-minute Christmas photoshoot and all professionally edited photographs from your final gallery, up to 15 images. You’ll also receive a beautiful Christmas slideshow created using your photographs and a personalised digital Christmas card that you can send to family and friends. And there is one more lovely bonus. Families choosing the Complete Christmas Experience will receive a £50 voucher towards a standard outdoor/on-location Family Photoshoot with Ola Molik Photography in 2027.
So your Christmas session can become the beginning of another family photography experience next year. The £50 voucher applies to a standard-priced on-location family photography session in 2027 and cannot be exchanged for cash or combined with another promotional offer or mini-session discount.
To secure the booking there is a small non refundable deposit required.
IMPORTANT QUESTIONS:
- Do I have to pick the package now?
No, you don’t have to decide immediately which package you want.
You can start with one of the smaller packages and wait until you see your beautiful finished gallery. If you fall in love with more photographs than your package includes, you can simply upgrade by paying the difference.
So there is no pressure to make that decision before your photoshoot.
- Can parents be included in Christmas Mini Sessions?
Absolutely!
My Family Christmas Mini theme is specifically designed for parents to join the photographs too.
You don’t have to be in every image. During your 25-minute session, we can create a lovely mixture of photographs, including the whole family together, children or siblings together and individual portraits.
I really encourage parents to get into at least a few photographs. We take hundreds of pictures of our children on our phones, but very often Mum or Dad is missing because they’re the person behind the camera.
Christmas is about family, so this is the perfect opportunity to have everyone in the photograph together.
- Are Christmas Minis suitable for siblings?
Yes, definitely.
Sibling photographs are actually one of my favourite parts of Christmas sessions.
Some siblings cuddle beautifully, some spend the whole session making each other laugh, and others require negotiations worthy of an international peace summit! That’s family life.
I don’t expect children to behave like professional models. I’ll guide them, keep things relaxed and work with their personalities to create as much variety as possible during our 25-minute session.
- Could I bring my dog to a Christmas photoshoot?
Yes, on selected Christmas themes and dates.
I photograph dogs and other pets throughout the year, and I completely understand that for many families their pet is an important part of the family too.
Please contact me before booking if you’d like to bring your dog or another pet. I’ll let you know which Christmas theme and appointment will be most suitable.
- What happens after our Christmas photoshoot?
After your session, I’ll carefully select the strongest photographs and professionally edit each one in my photography style.
Your final selection gallery will contain up to 15 professionally edited photographs, depending on your session.
You’ll receive a private online gallery where you can view your photographs and choose the images included in your package.
If you’ve booked one of the smaller packages and suddenly realise you can’t possibly choose just 3 or 7 favourites, don’t worry! You can purchase additional photographs or upgrade to the next package by simply paying the difference.
- Are Christmas Mini Sessions worth it?
Christmas Minis are a lovely option for families because they’re shorter and more affordable than a standard family photoshoot while still giving you professionally created photographs of this special time in your children’s lives.
You can use your photographs as Christmas presents for grandparents, create Christmas cards, update your family photographs, share them with relatives living further away or simply keep them as memories.
Christmas decorations eventually come down, toys get replaced and those little Christmas outfits stop fitting. But your photographs remain.
- When should I book a Christmas Mini Session in Glasgow?
I recommend booking as early as possible, especially if you have a particular theme or date in mind.
For Christmas 2026, I’m offering only 8 appointments on each date.
Once those appointments are booked, I can’t simply squeeze another family in because every client needs their full 25-minute session as well as enough time for me to prepare the studio for the next family. A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment, and your booking is confirmed once the deposit has been received.
If you’re particularly interested in my Family Christmas Minis on 25 October or 22 November 2026, I wouldn’t recommend waiting until November to book. Christmas photography is very seasonal, and once the dates are gone, they’re gone!
- Where are the Christmas Mini Sessions held?
Bambino Christmas Mini Sessions take place in my home photography studio in the Glasgow/Clydebank area. The studio is conveniently located for families travelling from Glasgow, Clydebank, Bearsden, Milngavie, West Glasgow and surrounding areas. I also regularly welcome clients travelling from other parts of Central Scotland.
The Family and Christmas Kitchen mini sessions will take aplace in hired hall in Clydebank/Dalmuir.
Once your session is booked, you’ll receive the full address together with information to help you prepare for your photoshoot.
- Looking for a Christmas photographer in Glasgow?
If you’ve found my website while searching for a Christmas photographer in Glasgow, Christmas Mini Sessions Glasgow, family Christmas photoshoot Glasgow, children’s Christmas photography Glasgow or Christmas photographer Clydebank, you’ve come to the right place.
10. Can I use my discount voucher for any package?
As I reduced my prices this year to make these mini sessions more affordable I will only accept a discount voucher towards MEDIUM and LARGE package. There is no discount available on a SMALL package.
Christmas only comes once a year—and your children will never be exactly this age again.
Let’s photograph it.
Ola Molik.
